Hello! Everybody,
It's been a while since my last post, I'm sorry for this late post.
Anyway, last month my class got an assignment to teach history in English or in another word, we have to be the history teacher for one session.
Fortunately we don't have to teach the history alone, we teach as a team of two people, it makes us easier to teach. Edwin is my partner, he is a very nice guy, he done everything well.
At first, I thought that it will be easy to prepare the teaching material and teach normally.
But after we were told that we had to make the lesson plan, I became so confused it feels like my mine was lost somewhere and my first bright image of teaching suddenly became nightmare.
After few times thinking how to make the lesson plan seriously, finally I and Edwin made the lesson plan. Because we got the indoor one, we made a presentation in power point, we made an exciting animation that will attract the attention of the student, so the student won't be bored. We choose the world war II as the topic. Because we think that it is interesting and had many things to be discussed. We teach about who is involved and who started the war, the cause of world war II and also the impact.
We had finished the presentation long time before the date line. One of our friend wasn't ready with the limited time they got, so I and Edwin replace them to teach. It was a huge advantage for us, because just after we finished teaching, my teacher said that we had to used property like clothes etc. I really don't like wearing strange clothes and others. I think as a teacher we should wear formal clothing. On the day we teach,
The situation is a little bit strange because the student are quiet but they seems like have no attention at the same time, it's like their mind is out from the class. And when I asked some question to them, they weren't really enthusiastic.
But I think, that is the normal situation in everyday class. Only some student that were really paying attention on the lesson and active to answer or ask. We also burn the totalitarian country flag. Even though we gave the student some games and reward for the participation, the enthusiasm only rise a bit.
Now I know that being a teacher isn't an easy task. It needs a good mental condition when we are ignored by our student. But I think it's just the matter of the way you teach will affected how your student will pay attention on the lesson.
I think that's all for this post, I hope you get something to learn from this post. GBU
