About a month ago, I got an
assignment from my English teacher to teach history. At first, I was shocked
and so confused. But, it was relief that I have a partner to do this
assignment. My partner is Marsha, she is very very cheerful.
I thought teaching is an easy
assignment. But, after we started to do this assignment, I feel that so may
things have to be prepared as a teacher before teaching. We also need to make
our students enthusiast and not feeling bored with our reaching method.
At that time I was permitted
to choose the topic from eleven grade or twelve grade materials. Finally, we
choose Singasari Kingdom because in that topic there is very famous love story
about Ken Dedes and Ken Arok.
Before we started teaching,
both of us were really nervous. But, we keep on trying to teach as good as we
could. At the beginning of our teaching session, we gave the students a story
in a form of puppet that tells the story of Ken Dedes and Ken Arok. Then we
gave a short presentation discussing about the location, who are the kings, few
artifact from Singasari Kingdom.
At the end of our teaching
session, after we finished all the material we played some game. After the game
was finished, we gave some grand prize to the winner team. But the looser team
has to do a punishment.
From this assignment, we can
learn to respect others who were talking in front, because talking in front of
many people isn't easy.
