My Fantastic Teaching Experience

Have you ever been a teacher before? Do you know how does it feel to stand in front of class with so many students looking at you? Well, I will tell you how it feels. So, I will tell you about my teaching experience in English class. Before teaching in class, we were told to make a lesson plan, which contained the list of things that we would do in the class. We also tried to find some information in the textbook and internet about our topic.

It was Thursday, 6^th February 2014 when my partner, Eric and I got the chance to teach  our friends in class. The class was divided into two and we taught the even numbers in the field. Wow, it was very hot out there! We were told to use properties in our lesson and we also wore appropriate clothes to be a teacher.

At first, I felt really nervous because I had to stand in front of my friends as their teachers. And because we taught them outdoor, we could not use electricity, so we could not use the presentation program. We used printed picture to make the students got a better understanding. On that day, Eric and I taught my friends about ‘The Beginning of Imperialism’, the history about European explorers who went to the east to find a new place for trading spices. They went east because Turkey Ottoman took Constantinople in 1495, so they could not trade there.

The class was quite active and co-operative. But some of the students made too much noise in the class, talking with each other. Fortunately, most of them listened to our explanation and when we were playing games, the class was very exciting because the players did some jokes and made us laugh.

   I also felt really happy to be a teacher. Because I could share my knowledge with my friends, especially in history. Being a teacher is not as easy as you think. You have to do some pr  eparations at home before teaching the class the following day. You have to be ready in some difficult situations too. You also need confidence in yourself and the most important thing is that you must have a good communication with your students, so they can get the information you give.

  Well, that’s all about my teaching experience. I can say that it was one of my fantastic experience J.
