Adela / XIA2 / 39 | My Teaching Experience

For about one month ago, I got a challenge from my English teacher to be a teacher. We must teach history lesson in English. She allowed us to use any method for teaching. We must make our class become an amazing class with effective atmosphere to study. Ma'am Agnes divided class into groups. One group consisted of two students. My partner was Christina Wijaya. We choose "Indonesia Under Japanese Imperialism" as our subtopic. At the first time, we were confused in writing our lesson plan. We wondered what method will we use to teach the students. At least, we used Power Point Presentation to show the students about the material and after that we did  some games to make our class become interesting. We prepared it for about several days before we taught. Day after day, time passed away. And finally, time to teach was coming. I felt so confused, nervous, afraid of making mistakes, happy, and embarrassed at the same time. But I try to keep calm and teach well. First, we explained about our presentations. Then we did our games. We played with some questions and cards. Surprisingly the class became wild. My partner and I tried to make our class quiet. And finally we did it. I felt very happy. From this challenge, we learned to respect our teacher. We knew that it's not easy to teach the whole class. From this experience, I hope we can control our attitude in class and respect our teacher. :)
