Dare to teach? Dare to understand!

You guys must wonder what part is the unique thing from my latest English project.
So, this is the story…
But, first I want to ask something. Do you like history? Most of you must answer ‘not at all’. And that’s the problem that my English teacher wanted to solve. She asked us to make a group consist of two persons. Next, she told us to make a Lesson Plan. For the first time, I still didn’t know and couldn’t imagine what we had to do for this project. But, after finishing the explanation about the Lesson Plan, we realized that she asked us to teach our whole class about history. A subject that was very hard to be taught, even by our History teacher. But we understood, that’s the part of the challenge! How to make history become an exciting and interesting subject.
Then, the story began…
I and Jessica decided Majapahit Kingdom as our topic. The biggest Hindu kingdom at its time. We challenged ourselves how to make it interesting. So, we thought about a new method. Making our friends’ curiosity bigger, we made a special jingle. After that, we did a little drama about going back to the past at Majapahit Kingdom’s heyday. We made simple “time machine” from a box that made our friends asked what would happen after that. The class was very active and exciting. They always answered if we asked and paid attention to us.
For me, that was a priceless experience. Learn how to teach, learn how to make history become more interesting, learn how to explain with English, and learn how to love history itself. Overall it was an awesome teaching experience with Jessica and my class! Thanks guys :)
